What Every Business Woman Needs to Know About Public Relations
Laura Mimura
Laura is a vice president with KeyBank Corporate Communications and is responsible for the development and execution of communications and public relations strategies for Key’s Corporate Bank, Commercial Bank and Private Bank business segments. She has more than twenty-five years of communications experience, gained through agency, legal and corporate positions in financial services, manufacturing and professional services.
Laura supports a variety of civic organizations, serving in leadership roles for America SCORES Cleveland, The Cleveland Leadership Center and as a member of the executive committee of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Board of Visitors. She was recognized as KeyCorp’s Neighbor of the Year in 2018 for volunteer excellence through outstanding service, leadership, innovation and community impact. Laura also received the 2018 Calliope Award from America SCORES Cleveland for her long-term commitment to the advancement of SCORES mission of inspiring urban youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. She is also a recipient of the KeyCorp Chairman’s Award and the YWCA Women of Achievement Award.
Laura earned a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Cleveland State Law Review from 1991-92. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1992. Laura also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is also a graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders and Leadership Cleveland.

Parking: At 7:45am there are many options for parking in or near public square, and the attached Marriott Garage [$15]. Enter off St Clair Ave. If you take the train, get off at Terminal Tower and cross Public Square.
Check in with a photo ID at the Security Desk on south side of lobby near elevators. They will issue a pass which will get you through the gates and up to the CWRU Room on the 9th floor.
