The turbulent and disruptive events of the last several months have likely compelled each of us as businesswomen to reflect on our life journeys and the sustainability of our professional enterprises. Regardless of our individual circumstances, the unpredictability of global health, economic, and societal events have left many of us experiencing a sense of powerlessness with a feeling of having diminished control over our futures and our livelihoods.

We ask ourselves…. although I’ve gotten used to some aspects of a new normal, what if something else happens? How can I put myself in the best position possible to adapt myself and my business to any potentially disruptive events? What kinds of personal attributes will help me be ready for whatever the future holds?

Disruptions are going to happen. You can’t control that. You can, however, be ready for them by putting yourself in position to succeed regardless what happens and give yourself the opportunity to be ready to influence your success. “Future Planning” will allow you to have a greater sense of control over your preparedness to deal with whatever comes.
