Angela Bennett will provide an overview of the digital divide in historically disinvested neighborhoods and the impact of the work of a community-based wireless internet service provider to empower the community with access to opportunities through connection to the not only the internet, but the tools and resources critical to leading a productive and fulfilling life. She will help us understand the digital divide and:

1.  How the digital divide has a disparate impact on historically disinvested neighborhoods

2.  How we can become a change agents

Angela Bennett grew up in East Cleveland and graduated from Shaw High School as a young mother.   She went on to pursue her education at Case Western Reserve University and graduated with her BA, JD and MBA.  Her public sector experience has included serving as East Cleveland's Director of Community Development, as well as an appointment to the State Board of Education by former Governor John Kasich.  In addition to her role as Administrative Director and Sales & Marketing Director at DigitalC, Angela is also an attorney practicing in the areas of corporate, real estate, and community development.
