Led by long-time journalist and creativity coach Jen Jones Donatelli, this presentation will help you understand the power of media coverage in building your authority and growing your reach. It’s surprisingly easy to be your own best publicist — and you don’t necessarily need big bucks or a fancy PR firm to do it. Armed with the right resources and a strategy that suits your strengths, you can build your buzz and become a go-to expert in your field with some key media placements.

In this session, we’ll discuss the various components of an effective media strategy and go over some important decisions that will inform your approach. You’ll leave with a sense of how to maximize your media efforts and hit the ground running as you get ready to pitch. Let’s start your press!

About our Speaker:

Jen Jones Donatelli is the founder of Creative Groove and a seasoned creativity coach and workshop facilitator. Prior to her work with Creative Groove, Jen worked in various forms of media and entertainment for nearly 20 years. Jen’s resume spans feature films, award shows, talk shows, sitcoms, red carpet reporting and print/online journalism for outlets including Glamour, Business Insider, Playboy, Los Angeles Confidential and many more. Her work for REDBOOK earned her a Hearst Editorial Excellence Award in 2015. Jen has also acted as managing editor of numerous publications including FreshWater Cleveland and Edible Cleveland. Jen is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and a proud graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
