The Changing Demographics of NEO – How it will affect your personal life, your family life, and your career path.

The demographics of NEO are shifting rapidly. The baby boomers have come of age. This will have a very significant impact on every type of business and service. However, one of the most significant impacts will be on the role that women will play in the next 50 years. The average caregiver is now a female age 49. Learn how your world will be directly impacted by the population changes in NEO.

About our speaker: Carolyn Lookbill

Carolyn Lookabill has spent over 50 years helping older adults and their family members. She’s worked across the United States in senior living as a social worker, administrator, regional director, and vice president. Community service has been a big part of her life.

She is a past president of the Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland and started both the Lake County and Geauga County support groups. She recently left the board of the Cuyahoga County Department of Senior and Adult Services and was also part of the advisory committee for livable Cuyahoga. Caroline retired last summer and started her own company called Caring Services LLC.

Their mission is to help older adults and their caregivers learn about community resources, and to help them connect with programs that are appropriate. They also provide senior placement services, all without cost to the family. They’ve recently introduced elder care consulting and client navigation which helps older adults without family or without nearby family to manage their day-to-day affairs. Caring Services LLC serves as an advocate for individuals; helping clients navigate all the resources and services they will need in order to remain as independent as possible.

Our demographics are changing, and these changes will have a strong impact on women.
